Kill switch and caps
Stop everything at once, cap what HeyCMO may send, change and spend, and how suppression works.
HeyCMO is an invitation-only, $0 operational Alpha for Stripe and Resend recovery emails. A person approves every message before it is sent. The guides also describe implementation capabilities outside the Alpha. Their presence here does not make them available in the pilot. Start with the Alpha checklist. Help: alpha@heycmo.ai.
- Kill switch: the switch at the top of every page stops every send and change at once: loops stop running, and approving is refused with the item left waiting in your Inbox. Changes already made stay. Anyone on the team can turn it on; turning it off needs an admin signed in (an API key, an assistant or the terminal cannot, wherever people sign in). Each time it is turned on or off is logged.
- Caps: HeyCMO sends at most 25 emails a day (UTC) by default, counting
the emails actually sent, not the ones planned. You can lower every cap —
emails per day, changes per run, AI model spend, ad spend per currency — in
Settings → Advanced → Caps (or
heycmo caps set); HeyCMO sets the ceilings, and you can only go below them. - Suppression: a person who unsubscribed, bounced or complained is never drafted to again.
- Changes outside email (your CMS, search-engine pings, ads on Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft, posts on LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram, your email tool, review replies and hosted landing-page tests) are rehearsals until you request the channel in Settings → Channels → Write channels and HeyCMO approves it; each change still needs your approval in the Inbox. Changes HeyCMO made in the Inbox undoes the ones that can be undone: ad changes, posts on LinkedIn, X and Facebook, landing-page tests, and CMS posts HeyCMO created or published. A published Instagram post, a broadcast your email tool sent, a review reply and a search-engine ping cannot be taken back.
- No invented facts: before a draft reaches your Inbox, HeyCMO checks that it keeps the payment link and the amount and makes up no deadline or discount.
- Marketing email is opt-in per type: win-back, churn, trial, upgrade and expansion emails rehearse until the platform allows the type and you opt in with a consent basis (Lifecycle emails (win-back, churn, trial, upgrade, expansion)).
