Go live
Turn rehearsals into real sends: what must be true first, the request, and what HeyCMO approves.
HeyCMO is an invitation-only, $0 operational Alpha for Stripe and Resend recovery emails. A person approves every message before it is sent. The guides also describe implementation capabilities outside the Alpha. Their presence here does not make them available in the pilot. Start with the Alpha checklist. Help: alpha@heycmo.ai.
Until your workspace is live, approving an email rehearses it: every check runs and your decision is recorded, but nothing reaches your customer, and the send is marked as a rehearsal (dry run). Going live is a request HeyCMO approves, once.
- Finish setup. Settings → Channels → Live sending lists what must
be true before you can ask, and ticks each one off:
- your workspace is active (on its trial or a current plan);
- your sending domain is verified with your email provider;
- your From address is on that domain;
- your postal address is set (Settings → Email → Sender identity);
- your email provider is connected, and its webhook is set up;
- Stripe's webhook is set up (connecting Stripe does it).
- Read the sending terms, tick I accept these terms for this workspace, add a reason if you like, and press Request go-live. The status reads "Requested — waiting for operator approval".
- HeyCMO reviews the request and approves it. From then on, an approved payment-recovery email goes to your customer from your own domain.
Revoke live sending (or Withdraw request) applies from the very next send, and the kill switch still stops every send, live or not.
Marketing emails (win-back, churn, trial, upgrade, expansion) need more than going live before they send: see Lifecycle emails. Changes in your other tools work like email: Settings → Channels → Write channels → request the channel (CMS publishing, IndexNow, social posts, ad platforms, your CRM, your email tool, review replies, hosted landing pages) and accept its terms. Until HeyCMO approves a channel, approving a card in it only rehearses it.
